The company history.

2021

Today, Bächi-Cord AG employs about 50 people, produces 7000 kg of cords and yarns daily and delivers them to about 30 countries.

2020

An investment of a 520 kWp (2'850 m²) photovoltaic system on the roof of the production facility in Ossingen was made.

2014

The twisting mill Zwirnerei Ossingen was added to the product range.

2013

Relocation of the polypropylene extrusion frum Flurlingen to the newly created plant in Ossingen.

2005

Takeover the polypropylene extrusion of Arova Schaffhausen.

2004

The management is handed over from Bruno Bächi to the 5th generation, his two sons Adrian and David Bächi.

2001

Bächi-Cord AG acquires the cord assortment of the company Arova Schaffhausen, including the branded articles flurofil®, flurocord® and flurospun®.

1998

Due to increased customer demand, the construction of the "West" plant in Oberneunforn was realized in the summer of 1998.

1992

The sole proprietorship transforms into Bächi-Cord AG.

1982

Bruno Bächi (4th generation ropemaker) founded the sole proprietorship "Bruno Bächi" at 41. Together with his wife Edith and 10 employees, he converted the existing buildings of a clothing collection point into a modern equipped twine production. The "Bächi string" became internationally known within a short time due to its first-class price/performance ratio.
